Company: Who We Are
Cobalt Construction is a fully licensed, bonded, and insured building Contractor. It is operated by husband/wife team Matt and Kim Camacho who believe that their hard working, family-centered values are what have fueled their success. They originally started the company in Flagstaff, Arizona where both grew up, and have transitioned to serving Flagstaff, Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City, and all of Northern Arizona.
Matt spent his childhood years learning and perfecting the art of his father’s trade, masonry. Through years of hands-on experience, he learned the importance of quality workmanship. Kim’s parents owned a successful insurance agency where she worked while obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Finance, which helped to form her keen sense of business and customer service.
A few years into his construction career, Matt recognized that it would take more than the skill set he had on hand to create the business he dreamed of, and he went back to college to get his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. While attending the university, he worked as a project manager for a large construction company on Projects that ran in the $15 million Range. His education and experience have proven instrumental in helping him coordinate and complete large complicated projects as well as smaller detailed ones. His in-depth knowledge of everything from foundations to finishes guarantees a sound investment for his customers.
Outside of the business both Kim and Matt are active members of their community. Kim participates in various construction and business groups, while Matt also coaches the high school boys soccer team, and is the founder of a local non-profit competitive soccer club. Matt and Kim both truly believe in their hearts that no child’s talent should be passed over because their parents simply cannot afford for them to play. So their non-profit soccer club, RioFC, aims to make sure that talent supersedes any cost factor. And any child that earns a spot on the team is able to play regardless of economic abilities.
Matt and Kim are hardworking parents of three great kids, ages 5-13. It is not uncommon to find Philip, Julia or Lucas on the job site during non-school hours. They love being near their parents and involved in day to day operations.
Matt and Kim pride themselves on their small town values and beliefs. They put huge emphasis on quality before quantity. If it wouldn’t be right by them, they believe it wouldn’t be right by the customer. They treat all their clients as they would family or friends.
